Abhra

Abhra is a project led by saxophonist and composer Julien Pontvianne featuring vocalist Lauren Kinsella, cellist Hannah Marshall, guitarist Francesco Diodati, pianist Alexandre Herer and bassist Matteo Bortone. Originally commissioned by the Centre International des Musiques Nomades and the Festival Détours de Babel in Grenoble, France (2014), Pontvianne’s music explores the writing of Henry David Thoreau.
